Staff Supervisor Wins Prestigious Award
Every year, several of our Direct Care staff members and agency leaders travel to the Palmetto Association for Children and Families conference.
This year the conference was held in Myrtle Beach and featured presentations and speakers under the theme, “Seas the Day ’17: Make their lives extraordinary.”
Our staff members loaded up in agency vehicles and took the three-hour trip to the coast to participate. What they didn’t know was that later that evening, one of our very own would be honored in a big way!
Direct Care Staff Supervisor Lynn Wade has been with our agency for over 20 years. She loves her job and it shows through her dedication and abilities.
Ms. Lynn was greatly surprised when PAFCAF announced her as their 2017 winner of the “One Person Can Make a Difference” award.
“I was so totally shocked, but I felt really good that they chose me out of all those people,” explained Ms. Lynn after returning to her regularly-scheduled work hours.
“It actually made me feel really good to receive the award. I know God placed me here to make a difference in these children’s lives,” Ms. Lynn stated.
The PAFCAF nonprofit agency “exists to make a positive difference in the lives of children and families in need in South Carolina,” and we truly believe Ms. Lynn and the rest of our team here at Helping Hands do just that!
