Girl’s Circle

Girls Circle is a research-proven intervention program that is implemented in several elementary and middle schools throughout Aiken County.  It is a youth development approach that creates a safe place for girls to address risky behaviors, build on personal strengths and improve relationships in a format that interests and engages the girls.

Girls Circle groups are led by a certified facilitator who covers a variety of topics such as: friendship, body image, female identity, stereotypes, trusting one’s self and others, aggression and dating violence, diversity and cultural heritage, relationships, substance abuse and risky behaviors, goal-setting and self-care.
